en.Wedoany.com Reported - Kempower is providing charging infrastructure for Denver Public Schools' growing electric school bus fleet at the district's Hilltop bus depot. The project is led by Winn-Marion, an industrial automation and electrical solutions provider, with Kempower participating as the hardware supplier and technology partner. The district recently added 25 Blue Bird Vision electric school buses, bringing its fleet to 28 vehicles, which, according to the district, has become the largest electric school bus fleet in Colorado. The new charging facilities are ready for the new school year, which begins on August 24.

Monil Malhotra, President of Kempower North America, stated that electrifying school bus fleets requires charging infrastructure that can adapt to the realities of daily transportation schedules. Kempower's technology keeps electric school buses charged, available, and on the road, helping Denver Public Schools provide reliable, cleaner transportation for students every day.

The depot is equipped with a Kempower distributed charging system with a total capacity of 650 kW, featuring 13 dual-port Kempower Satellite dispensers, providing 26 charging plugs. The system dynamically distributes available power across multiple vehicles, helping school buses stay charged and ready for their daily routes.

Jim Hussey, Electrification Solutions Specialist at Winn-Marion Companies, stated that Denver Public Schools is a well-organized team, and Kempower has been highly supportive from the start of the project. PowerFlex (formerly The Mobility House) has demonstrated outstanding collaboration in smart charging and energy management, and the company looks forward to opportunities to support other school districts in the Rocky Mountain region in the coming years.

To date, Kempower's solutions are powering electric school bus charging stations in Denver, Quebec, Louisiana, Kansas, Massachusetts, Indiana, and Wisconsin.
