Static acceptance of the Yinchuan-Bayanhot section of the Baotou-Yinchuan High-Speed Railway launched, expected to open by end of December
en.Wedoany.com Reported - On August 25, static acceptance of the Yinchuan-Bayanhot Railway (Yinba Railway), part of the Baotou-Yinchuan High-Speed Railway, was officially launched, marking the project's smooth entry into the completion acceptance stage. The line is under the construction management of China Railway Lanzhou Group Co., Ltd..

The Yinba Railway is a mainline railway primarily serving interregional passenger traffic while also fulfilling commuter functions, with a total mainline length of 111.106 kilometers and a design speed of 200 kilometers per hour. The line originates from Yinchuan Station in Ningxia, passes through Jinfeng District, Xixia District, and Yongning County of Yinchuan City, crosses the Helan Mountains into Alxa Left Banner in Inner Mongolia, and runs via Barun Bielitown to the terminal Bayanhot Station. Upon completion, the project will improve the high-speed railway network in Northwest China and strengthen transportation connectivity between Ningxia and Inner Mongolia.
Static acceptance is a critical step in the completion acceptance of newly built railway projects, involving a comprehensive inspection of project quality, equipment operation status, and overall system functions. During the acceptance period, the construction unit will establish professional static acceptance teams, which, in accordance with national railway construction standards, will conduct full-coverage inspections and tests on track, bridges and tunnels, communication and signaling, electric traction, station facilities, and safety protection works by discipline.
Construction of the Yinba Railway began in 2022 and has now lasted four years. In June this year, the main works of the subgrade, bridges, and station buildings were all completed, and the Helan Mountain Tunnel, a key control project, was successfully holed through. Track-laying across the entire line was fully completed in mid-August. Off-line environmental improvement and the construction of station front plazas at two high-speed railway stations, including Bayanhot Station, are also nearing completion.
A representative from China Railway Lanzhou Group Co., Ltd. stated that following the completion of static acceptance, subsequent work including integrated commissioning and testing, trial operation, preliminary acceptance, and safety assessment will proceed in sequence, and the line will be ready for operation by the end of December 2026.
