en.Wedoany.com Reported - Glencar has delivered a 102,000 sq ft industrial and logistics unit for Hillwood UK at Martland Park in Wigan, which has achieved practical completion and been certified BREEAM Excellent.

The unit covers 101,805 sq ft with a 12-metre eaves height, Cat A fit-out office accommodation on the first floor, and sustainable features including photovoltaic panels, electric vehicle charging points, and cycle facilities. The project team includes Goodrich Consulting, UMC Architects, and engineering firms Baynham Meikle and Cundall.

The scope of works also included full enabling works, attenuation, and drainage infrastructure to support the entire site.

The site, known as Wigan 100, is located off Walthew House Lane. The park is surrounded by blue-chip occupiers including Makita, Hein, and Arrow XL, and serves as Wigan's flagship employment park.

This is the second project delivered by Glencar in partnership with Hillwood UK. A third project between the two parties — Hillwood Park in Luton — is now under construction.

Tom Kearsley, Glencar's Northern Regional Director, said the completion of Martland Park is a strong testament to the results achieved through close collaboration with a dedicated client and consultant team. He added that the team is proud to deliver a high-quality, sustainable facility for Hillwood UK that meets the needs of modern industrial and logistics occupiers.

Mark Wright, Vice President at Hillwood UK, expressed satisfaction with the completed building at Martland Park and thanked Glencar and the entire project team for delivering a high-quality facility to an excellent specification. He stated that the development reflects the company's commitment to sustainable, well-designed industrial and logistics spaces and is an outstanding addition to its portfolio in the North West.

Founded in 2016, Glencar's operations span industrial and logistics, ports, life sciences, data centres, commercial, film studios, and civil engineering and infrastructure.

Knight Frank and CBRE have been appointed as joint agents. Detailed planning permission was granted in early 2025, with documents available on the Wigan Council planning portal under reference A/24/97573/RMMAJ.
