Brazil's Anfir and ApexBrasil Renew Partnership for Fifth Time to Boost Trailer Exports
en.Wedoany.com Reported - The Brazilian Association of Road Trailer Manufacturers (Anfir) and the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil) have renewed the Move Brazil project cooperation agreement for the fifth time, with the new phase valid from 2026 to 2028. The project, a collaborative mechanism established to expand Brazilian road trailer exports, began in 2016.

Anfir President José Carlos Sprícigo stated that the fifth renewal of the agreement demonstrates the fruitful nature of the partnership, and that Brazil's road trailer industry possesses the technical capability, product quality, and competitiveness to explore new international market opportunities. Move Brazil serves as a vital channel for converting this potential into tangible business results.
Last year, Brazil's road trailer industry exported a total of 5,093 trailers and semi-trailers. Chile was the largest export market with 1,809 units, followed by Paraguay (1,575 units), Argentina (796 units), Uruguay (581 units), and Bolivia (114 units). Sprícigo noted that in addition to trailers and semi-trailers, the industry also sells auto parts and other components overseas.
Under the new cycle's plan, activities such as participation in international trade fairs, business missions, business matchmaking sessions, and meetings with foreign buyers will be carried out. The agreement also covers initiatives to help companies prepare for the international market, including capacity building in areas such as innovation and sustainable development, which are essential for the internationalization of products.
In his summary, Sprícigo stated that the new cycle will build on the experience accumulated over a decade of cooperation, further advancing market diversification, expanding corporate participation, and strengthening the position of Brazil's road trailer industry in the global market.
Move Brazil, jointly launched by Anfir and ApexBrasil, primarily promotes the export of Brazilian trailer products through trade promotion activities such as business exhibitions and business matchmaking sessions, while also reinforcing Brazil's image as a manufacturer of capital goods and a supplier of technology.
