en.Wedoany.com Reported - Bimatec Soraluce is showcasing its Soraluce TRM series multi-function bed-type milling machines at the trade fair. Designed for machining large workpieces, these machines feature a T-shaped structure and an infinitely swiveling milling head, with a drive power of 37 kW and a maximum spindle speed of 6,000 rpm, enabling milling, turning, and grinding operations on a single machine.

A characteristic feature of the Soraluce TRM series multi-function bed-type milling machine is its T-shaped structure and infinitely swiveling milling head, with a drive power of 37 kW and a speed range of up to 6,000 rpm. (Image: Bimatec Soraluce)

Bimatec Soraluce's business covers everything from standard machines to highly customized automation systems. Its multi-task machining series is aimed at workpieces with complex technical requirements and tight tolerances, consolidating operations such as turning, milling, drilling, and tapping on a single machine. This reduces setup times, minimizes floor space and manpower requirements, and lowers overall costs due to the need for fewer tools, clamping devices, and fixtures.

The TRM series is characterized by its T-shaped structure and infinitely swiveling milling head. The milling head can be converted into a multi-function head for milling, turning, and grinding, using the same tool interface, and a standard tool changer enables automatic tool changes between milling cutters and turning tools. During turning operations, the spindle is clamped to avoid play and enhance stability.

The configuration of the machine at the trade fair includes: longitudinal travel of 3,500 mm, cross travel of 1,300 mm, and vertical travel of 1,600 mm; a Heidenhain TNC7 CNC control; an automatic indexing milling head with spindle clamping for turning functions, infinitely variable indexing, and a speed of 6,000 rpm; an automatic tool changer with 60 tool magazine positions, allowing loading and unloading during automatic operation; DAS+ (patented) for chatter-free machining; automatic feed control with Soraluce adaptive control; an Accura milling head with dynamic milling head compensation; two chip conveyors and chip-breaking function; a complete splash guard with two self-cleaning windows in two panes of glass; work area extraction and a work area monitoring camera. The table load capacity is 8,000 kg for milling and 2,000 kg for turning and grinding. The integrated NC turning-milling table has a diameter of 1,600 mm and delivers 400 rpm, 81 kW of power, and 3,500 Nm of torque. The machine features a compact design and can be installed without a separate foundation.

In response to the demand for efficient, flexible production of complex multi-datum products, Soraluce is presenting intelligent automation solutions. These systems cover the machining of large components, ranging from single machines with integrated pallet changers to flexible cells coordinated by an industrial PC, customizable according to different part types and batch sizes. The pallet system optimizes workflows and reduces setup times. The central tool storage system is fully integrated into the company's own tool management software, enabling tool sharing between machines, eliminating selection errors, and reducing duplicate tool inventory and storage space. Tool flow is controlled by real-time production orders, delivery schedules, and tool availability data, enabling just-in-time production. The control core is the Soraluce control system, developed by the in-house software factory, which integrates machines, workpieces, pallets, tools, CNC programs, fixtures, and operations based on a job list concept, providing unified control of the machining cell and full traceability throughout.

Bimatec Soraluce has been on the market for over 35 years. Sales Director Oliver Krause states that the company's goal is to provide customers with tailor-made products and the most suitable technology solutions for their manufacturing needs, made possible by Danobatgroup's innovative capabilities.

In terms of service, dedicated teams in the mechanical, electronic, and application technology fields provide support. The service hotline operates on weekdays in shifts and is available on all weekends and holidays throughout the year. The regional service fleet is still unique in the field of large machine tools, and currently 60% of breakdowns can be resolved on the same day, forming an immediate assistance system available 365 days a year together with the hotline. The company stocks 73 replacement and rental milling heads, and rental milling heads and original spare parts can be delivered to customers within 24 hours. Each rental milling head is inspected and refurbished after every use to ensure consistent quality with original heads. Technical experts can also assess machining processes and develop cutting solutions upon request, while also offering upgrades, refurbishment, and modernization services for older Soraluce machines.
