TRUMPF Launches the New Generation TruPunch 5000 High-Speed Punching Machine

en.Wedoany.com Reported - On September 16, TRUMPF launched the new generation TruPunch 5000 high-performance punching machine and plans to present it at EuroBLECH 2026 in Hanover, Germany, from October 20 to 23. The new model is designed for high-volume automated sheet metal production, with a maximum punching force of 22 tons, the ability to process sheets up to 8 mm thick, a maximum punching speed of 1,600 strokes per minute, and support for complex forming processes such as embossing and deep drawing.

The new generation TruPunch 5000 adds the Vision Equipment Pro machine vision system, which can monitor the machine's working area through up to 10 integrated cameras. Machine operating status and production process data can be uploaded to the Smart View digital service, allowing operators to remotely view machine status, processing progress, and anomaly information. A second display can simultaneously show machine images and data from the Oseon production management software.

TRUMPF has also introduced AI-assisted automatic sorting of small parts on this machine. The vision system identifies the positions of parts after punching is completed, and the robot grasps and sorts them based on the detection results, eliminating the need to write a separate gripping program for each part. This function will be demonstrated for the first time at EuroBLECH 2026.

The machine retains an active die structure, which can reduce scratches on the sheet surface and increase forming height; retractable clamps are used to reduce interference during sheet processing. The ToolMaster Linear automatic tool changing system can accommodate up to 90 tool sets and adds an independent display device in the tool changing area for calling up tool parameters and assisting with machine setup.

The mid-format model of the TruPunch 5000 has a processing range of 2,500 × 1,250 mm, while the large-format model has a processing range of 3,050 × 1,550 mm; the mid-format model has a maximum workpiece weight of 200 kg, and the large-format model has a maximum workpiece weight of 280 kg. The machine's average production power input is approximately 9.5 kW, and it can be used for processing control cabinets, data center components, as well as complex decorative and functional parts.

TRUMPF also directly connects the TruPunch 5000 with the SheetMaster automatic loading and unloading system and the TruBend Center 7030 bending cell. After punching is completed, parts are fed by the SheetMaster into a buffer conveyor system and then transferred to the bending cell; when the processing cycles of different machines are not synchronized, the intermediate buffer can regulate the material flow. Parts can also be returned to the storage system or transferred to a mobile robot for other processing steps.
