en.Wedoany.com Reported - On September 14, UK manufacturer Isembard opened a four-story manufacturing facility of approximately 160,000 square feet in Southwark, London, expanding its precision component production capacity in sectors including aerospace, defense, and robotics. Located near Tower Bridge, the new factory will produce mechanical components for drones, robots, submarines, rockets, and aircraft engines.

Isembard employs a software-driven distributed precision manufacturing model, using its self-developed MasonOS system to manage order quoting, production scheduling, design data, logistics tracking, and factory operations, directly connecting its digital management system to production processes such as machining. The company's current clients include Anduril, Babcock International, and relevant UK government agencies, with its business focused on high-precision metal components and assemblies required by the aerospace, defense, energy, and robotics industries.

The new factory currently employs approximately 35 people, and the company plans to expand its workforce to around 200 by 2027. Isembard has previously expanded its manufacturing network in markets including the UK, the US, France, and Germany, operating approximately 15 factories as of recently, some of which use a franchise model. The company completed a $50 million Series A funding round in March this year and has proposed expanding its global factory network to 25 locations by the end of 2026.

UK company registration information shows that Isembard's business scope includes metal products manufacturing, software development, and industrial process and production engineering design. The new Southwark factory further expands its self-operated manufacturing capacity and combines CNC machining, industrial software, and a distributed factory network to handle small-batch, high-precision component orders from aerospace, defense, and robotics companies.
