Komatsu of Japan Launches Two 20-Ton-Class Excavators

en.Wedoany.com Reported - On September 11, Komatsu of Japan officially launched the PC200-11M2 and PC210-11M2, two 20-ton-class hydraulic excavators, and plans to gradually introduce them to multiple emerging markets with a focus on the Asian market. The two machines were developed respectively for urban civil engineering and higher-load construction scenarios, further expanding Komatsu's main-tonnage hydraulic excavator product line.

The PC200-11M2 is positioned for urban civil engineering and is the second product in Komatsu's CE series, enhancing operating economy on the basis of the PC200-10M0's quality and durability. Under 90-degree loading conditions, this model's fuel consumption is approximately 6% lower than that of the PC200-10M0, while also improving the driving environment, with a focus on meeting the requirements of urban roads, municipal works, and general earthworks for fuel costs and continuous operation capability.

The PC210-11M2, meanwhile, targets higher-load working conditions such as civil construction, quarries, and auxiliary mining operations, balancing workload and fuel economy through power output and fuel-saving control systems. Both new machines are equipped with driver safety protection features, cab comfort functions, and maintenance-friendly equipment structures, and are connected to the KOMTRAX equipment operation management system, enabling remote monitoring of construction machinery operating status and equipment management data.

Komatsu has also incorporated service contracts, extended warranties, original parts supply, and operator training into the new models' market system. Infrastructure construction and resource development in Asia and emerging markets continue to generate demand for 20-ton-class hydraulic excavators. By distinguishing between urban civil engineering and high-load construction conditions, the PC200-11M2 and PC210-11M2 enable the main models to further cover different construction scenarios such as roads, municipal works, mining, and quarrying.
