en.Wedoany.com Reported - On October 14, U.S. advanced manufacturing company Hadrian announced the expansion of its partnership with Lockheed Martin to deploy automated precision machining systems at the missile and fire control systems manufacturing site in Grand Prairie, Texas, with a partnership term of 7 years. The initial deployment plan includes an automated machining cell composed of 24 machines, expected to be operational in early 2027. The scope of cooperation covers precision machining equipment, Opus manufacturing software, and related production technologies, integrated with Lockheed Martin's existing production systems.

Under the partnership arrangement, Hadrian will deploy automated machining equipment directly within Lockheed Martin's existing factory, operated by Lockheed Martin production personnel. Hadrian will provide the Opus manufacturing management platform and automated production technologies, while leveraging its U.S. factory network to provide supporting machining capacity. The two parties plan to introduce additional machining cells in phases over the course of the partnership, with each cell capable of handling parts machining tasks for multiple manufacturing programs.

This equipment deployment is part of Lockheed Martin's manufacturing facility expansion plan in Grand Prairie. The company is investing $300 million locally to expand the total manufacturing facility area to more than 735,000 square feet. Among these, the expansion project adds 100,000 square feet of production space and converts 85,000 square feet of office space into advanced manufacturing facilities equipped with automated equipment, digital production systems, and high-precision machining equipment.

As of October 14, Lockheed Martin has added more than 30 high-precision machining machines at the Grand Prairie site, with the related equipment producing thousands of critical parts per week. The company plans to add nearly 100 advanced manufacturing machines cumulatively by the end of 2026. The site currently has nearly 800 production employees and produced approximately 250,000 parts in 2025. Hadrian's automated machining cell will be integrated into the factory's existing production processes according to the equipment commissioning plan for early 2027.

The partnership between the two parties began with a memorandum of cooperation announced in December 2025. On October 14, 2026, Lockheed Martin simultaneously held the inauguration ceremony for the Grand Prairie advanced manufacturing facility expansion project and announced the specific equipment count and commissioning schedule for Hadrian's machining cell.
