en.Wedoany.com Reported - The 20% pleuromutilin suspension concentrate and 20% zinc thiazole suspension concentrate, developed by the National Key Laboratory of Green Pesticide at Guizhou University, China, have completed field demonstration and evaluation for rice disease control in Takeo Province, Cambodia. Chinese and Cambodian experts conducted a joint evaluation of the control efficacy 14 days after application. The average control efficacy of the treatment groups against bacterial leaf blight ranged from 64.45% to 89.18%, and against bacterial leaf streak from 78.64% to 89.39%, while the local control agent zinc thiazole achieved corresponding efficacies of 58.01% and 71.90%, respectively.

Since June this year, the team from the National Key Laboratory of Green Pesticide has made three visits to Takeo Province and Battambang Province in Cambodia for field surveys and trials. On July 2, the team conducted a demonstration of rice bacterial disease control in the field, using the 20% pleuromutilin suspension concentrate and 20% zinc thiazole suspension concentrate for field efficacy trials. Both products originate from the National Key Research and Development Program project "Development and Industrialization of Eco-Friendly, Pollution-Free Fungicides and Antiviral Agents" and have obtained pesticide registration in Cambodia.

During the project period, the Chinese team collaborated with the Royal Academy of Cambodia and engaged with Cambodia's Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries on matters including pesticide access regulation, crop pest and disease control, and standardization of agricultural technologies. The two sides have conducted three field surveys, five online seminars, and multiple farmer pesticide application training sessions.
