Yaskawa Electric Launches 12kg Collaborative Robot MOTOMAN-HC12

en.Wedoany.com Reported - On August 31, Yaskawa Electric began sales of the new collaborative robot MOTOMAN-HC12. This product is the successor to the MOTOMAN-HC10DTP, featuring a 6-axis vertical articulated structure, a payload capacity of 12 kg, a maximum working radius of 1410 mm, and a position repeatability of 0.04 mm. It is compatible with the YRC1000 robot controller, and the sales price is set under an open pricing system.

The MOTOMAN-HC12 employs a newly developed torque sensor to improve response speed when the robot collides with objects, and supports direct hand-guided operation. In collaborative operation mode, the maximum speed at the end-effector is 1000 mm/s, while in standard operation mode it reaches up to 2000 mm/s. The robot has a body mass of 46 kg, an IP67 protection rating, and can be mounted on the floor, ceiling, wall, or at an inclined angle.

The new model features a compact arm design, with the mounting base diameter reduced to 170 mm, compared to 275 mm for the previous HC10DTP. Its standard configuration integrates application cables, including Cat6A Ethernet cables, inside the arm, with routing extended to the wrist section for connecting end-effectors and peripheral devices.

Compared to the previous HC10DTP, the HC12 increases the payload capacity from 10 kg to 12 kg, and the maximum working radius from 1379 mm to 1410 mm. Yaskawa Electric has identified material handling, screw fastening, arc welding, and inspection as its target applications.
