en.Wedoany.com Reported - On September 4, the first large steel pipe pile was precisely driven at the Zhanjiang Xuwen East II Offshore Wind Power Project—CNNC's first offshore wind power venture—marking the official entry of the project's offshore main works into the substantive construction phase.

The steel pipe pile driven atPosition No. 1 is the longest monopile in this project, requiring extremely high construction precision, with a verticality deviation limit of no more than 3‰. To ensure the pile driving task was executed flawlessly, the project team conducted precise and scientific surveys, optimized the construction organization plan, and strengthened multi-party coordination for efficient collaboration and closed-loop management, successfully completing a series of critical steps including lifting, pile turning, feeding into the stabilization platform, hammer pressing, and pile driving, thereby achieving the precise installation of the first steel pipe pile and laying a solid foundation for subsequent batch pile driving and the advancement of the main works.

The Xuwen East II Offshore Wind Power Project has a planned installed capacity of300,000 kilowatts, with 21 offshore wind turbines each with a unit capacity of 14.3 megawatts, supported by one 220-kilovolt offshore substation. Once completed and operational, the project is expected to provide 1.034 billion kilowatt-hours of green electricity annually, save 299,900 tonnes of standard coal, and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 797,700 tonnes, playing a significant role inadvancing the construction of the 10-million-kilowatt offshore wind power base in western Guangdong, further optimizing Zhanjiang's new energy industry structure, and supporting the local economy's transformation and upgrading.
