San Juan Province, Argentina Invests 3.84 Billion Pesos in Three School Sports Facilities

en.Wedoany.com Reported - On September 5, the provincial government of San Juan, Argentina, announced plans to build comprehensive sports facilities at three schools in the departments of Jáchal and Iglesia, with a total investment exceeding 3.84 billion Argentine pesos. Funding comes from the Veladero and Gualcamayo mining trust funds. The project is being jointly promoted by San Juan's Ministry of Mining, the Ministry of Infrastructure, Water and Energy, and the education authorities.

The three projects are located at the Antonio Quaranta School in Jáchal, the Ricardo Güiraldes School in Tudcum, Iglesia department, and the Dalmacio Vélez Sarsfield School in Colola. Each comprehensive sports facility has a total floor area of approximately 1,026 square meters, of which around 1,017 square meters are indoor space, with an additional semi-outdoor area of about 9 square meters.

Funding for the Jáchal project is jointly provided by the Gualcamayo Mining Trust Fund and the Veladero Phase VI Trust Fund. The two projects at the Ricardo Güiraldes School and the Dalmacio Vélez Sarsfield School in Iglesia department are financed by the Veladero Phase VI Trust Fund.

The scope of the three projects includes covered multi-purpose sports courts and related supporting facilities. The relevant departments of San Juan Province will be respectively responsible for project funding arrangements, infrastructure construction, and coordination of school usage.
