en.Wedoany.com Reported - On September 10, Prologis confirmed that it had acquired 69 acres of land in Minooka, Illinois, United States, and plans to build the Minooka Exchange logistics facility. The project will have a building area of approximately 1.002 million square feet, or about 93,100 square meters, and will feature a single-story cross-dock warehouse design, with construction scheduled to begin in the near term.

The main warehouse of the project will have a clear height of approximately 40 feet, or about 12.2 meters, and will include 290 automobile parking spaces as well as a truck court approximately 185 feet deep. The scope of work includes the main warehouse, loading and unloading areas, truck court, internal roads, and parking facilities.

Minooka Exchange is located in the Chicago I-80 industrial logistics corridor, near the interchange of Ridge Road and I-80, and adjacent to the Chicago Logistics Hub currently under construction by Canadian National Railway, providing access to a multimodal network linking highway and rail transportation.

Prologis currently operates approximately 341 properties in the Chicago area, with a total area of more than 79 million square feet. In its second-quarter 2026 disclosure, the company reported that it had approximately 111 acres of developable land in the Chicago market, corresponding to a potential building area of approximately 1.84 million square feet. The development land for Minooka Exchange this time covers 69 acres.
