TurboFil of the United States Launches Integrated Glass Vial Filling and Assembly System
en.Wedoany.com Reported - On September 14, U.S. filling equipment manufacturer TurboFil launched the Monoblock glass vial filling and assembly system, which integrates precision liquid filling, closure placement, capping, labeling, and inspection into a single-machine platform, primarily targeting the production of pharmaceuticals, diagnostic reagents, and other regulated liquid products. The equipment can be customized according to specific vial types, closure structures, and production processes, while handling different glass vials and closure formats by changing format parts and calling up production recipes.

The filling station can be equipped with peristaltic pumps, ceramic piston pumps, or other custom pump sets according to material characteristics, and supports single-head or multi-head filling. When peristaltic pumps are used, disposable fluid paths can be configured; the filling needles are made of 316L stainless steel, can draw liquid directly from different product containers, and are equipped with "no vial, no fill" control, with the option to add submerged filling nozzles according to the process.
Glass vials are transported between stations by an intermittent indexing star wheel to secure vial positions and maintain repeatable positioning for each process. The infeed end can be configured with manual tray or sleeve loading, buffered vial feeding, or fully automatic vial feeding; after changing format parts, it can handle glass vials of different sizes, and the outfeed end can be connected to a buffer area or downstream packaging equipment.
The closure system uses a stainless steel vibratory feeding mechanism to automatically organize and convey closures, and is compatible with screw caps, press-fit closures, pump heads, and other dispensing components. Most configurations use servo-controlled tightening mechanisms, with settable capping torque and optional per-vial torque feedback.
The equipment can also integrate vial presence detection, fill detection, closure presence detection, cap height detection, weighing, torque monitoring, and automatic rejection devices. The control system uses an Allen-Bradley PLC and touch-based human-machine interface, supporting recipe-based production, access control, fault logging, production run logs, process data acquisition, and remote diagnostics.
TurboFil's existing glass vial equipment series also covers automatic filling, stoppering, and capping equipment such as the VERS 40. The VERS 40 can handle 2–100 mL glass vials with a maximum output of approximately 30 units per minute.
