Wedoany.com Report-Jun 26, Nordex Group, a global wind turbine manufacturer, has received a 160MW order from Yellice Üretim AŞ, a subsidiary of Efor Holding, for the Yellice wind farm in Sivas province, Turkey. The agreement includes the supply and installation of 23 N163/6.X turbines at a site with elevations between 1,850 and 1,990 meters above sea level.

The project, part of Turkey’s YEKA WPP-2024 wind auction, is Nordex’s third initiative under this program. Installation is set to begin in spring 2026, with commissioning expected later that year. Nordex will also provide a 10-year premium service agreement to ensure long-term operational reliability.

İbrahim Akkuş, chairman of Efor Holding, stated: “This collaboration carries strategic significance – not only by expanding our installed capacity, but also by underscoring the critical role the private sector plays in shaping Turkey’s sustainable energy future.” The project supports Turkey’s efforts to expand renewable energy infrastructure, contributing to cleaner and more sustainable power generation.

Ender Ozatay, Vice President for Turkey and the Middle East at Nordex, said: “Yellice will further strengthen the long-standing relationship between our two companies. We’re proud to contribute to this transformative programme once again.” The partnership highlights Nordex’s ongoing commitment to supporting Turkey’s renewable energy goals through advanced turbine technology.

Located in the high-altitude terrain of Sivas, the Yellice wind farm is designed to leverage the region’s wind resources to generate reliable clean energy. The N163/6.X turbines are tailored for efficiency in challenging environments, ensuring optimal performance for the project. This initiative aligns with the growing demand for sustainable energy solutions in Turkey, driven by the need to meet rising electricity needs while reducing environmental impact.

The Yellice wind farm represents a significant step in Turkey’s renewable energy expansion, with private sector involvement playing a key role in advancing the nation’s clean energy objectives. By combining Nordex’s expertise in wind turbine technology with Efor Holding’s regional presence, the project is poised to deliver long-term benefits to the local energy grid and support sustainable development in Sivas province.
