en.Wedoany.com Reported - On September 17, C3ntro Telecom launched a new round of digital infrastructure construction and operations in Aguascalientes, Mexico, with an investment of 300 million pesos. The project includes laying more than 100 kilometers of underground backbone fiber and launching a data center in the southern part of Aguascalientes City. This construction is incorporated into C3ntro's cross-border fiber network TIKVA, making the state of Aguascalientes a network node in the Mexico–United States digital communications corridor.

The backbone fiber in the Aguascalientes segment is entirely laid underground, providing high-capacity connectivity to telecom operators, data centers, industrial enterprises, and digital service companies. The data center launched locally provides communications and data processing nodes for the related network facilities. As disclosed in September, the overall TIKVA project had reached more than 85% completion.

The TIKVA main line connects Phoenix, Arizona, in the United States with Querétaro, Mexico, with a total length of 2,500 kilometers, of which approximately 2,150 kilometers are in Mexico and approximately 350 kilometers are in the United States. The network uses 288-core fiber, has 32 line amplifier stations with an average spacing of approximately 78 kilometers, and is designed for an end-to-end round-trip latency of approximately 35 milliseconds; currently, more than 1,750 kilometers of dark fiber have been installed underground.

The entire route passes through nodes including Eloy, Tucson, Nogales, Hermosillo, Guaymas, Ciudad Obregón, Los Mochis, Culiacán, Mazatlán, Durango, Aguascalientes, León, Irapuato, and Celaya, connecting the two major data center markets of Phoenix and Querétaro. C3ntro is the asset owner and operator of both ends of the route and the cross-border backbone network. The network offers dark fiber as well as 100Gbps, 400Gbps, and 800Gbps wavelength services, and the overall project is planned to enter the service phase in the fourth quarter of 2026.
