India's Prozo Opens 30,000 Sq Ft Fulfillment Center in Kolkata

en.Wedoany.com Reported - On September 25, Indian supply chain company Prozo opened a 30,000-square-foot fulfillment center in Kolkata, West Bengal, bringing its locally operated fulfillment centers to three. The new facility is located at Prospace Logistics Park in Serampore and provides warehousing, inventory management, order processing, and distribution services for markets in East and Northeast India.

The new center is connected to Prozo's existing Control Tower technology platform, providing real-time inventory visibility, multichannel order management, and end-to-end operational monitoring. The facility adopts a multi-client operating model, serving categories including fast-moving consumer goods, fashion and lifestyle, beauty and personal care, healthcare, and consumer electronics, while also supporting capacity expansion for existing clients in East India and onboarding of new clients.

The facility is located near Kolkata's major logistics corridors and can connect to Kolkata Port, NH-16, NH-19, and the Dankuni logistics hub, with distribution coverage spanning West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, and the Northeast India region. Prozo's existing clients include retail and consumer brands such as Reliance, TMRW, Tira, Bata, Relaxo, and VIP.

Prozo has also expanded its warehousing network elsewhere in India this year. In June, the company added a fulfillment center of more than 50,000 square feet in Bhiwandi, Maharashtra, bringing its fulfillment centers in the state to seven with a total area of approximately 410,000 square feet. The new Kolkata facility continues to adopt a regional multi-node layout approach, expanding the company's warehousing and fulfillment capacity in East India.
