India's HCLTech Signs with Anthropic to Develop Enterprise-Grade AI Solutions

en.Wedoany.com Reported - On October 12, India's HCLTech announced the signing of a global advanced partnership agreement with the United States' Anthropic. The two parties will carry out enterprise-grade technical cooperation centered on agentic AI, with a focus on cybersecurity, software development, business automation, and AI governance. Under the agreement, HCLTech plans to establish a dedicated Anthropic business unit and a Center of Excellence (CoE), and to develop industry applications and enterprise-grade solutions based on Claude, Cowork, and Claude Code.

The newly established business unit at HCLTech will be responsible for the development and enterprise deployment of agentic AI solutions, while the Center of Excellence will provide customers with secure sandbox testing environments through Forward Deployed Engineers (FDEs). The two parties also plan to provide enterprises with support for AI-native software engineering practices, employee technical training, and agentic AI system deployment services.

In the enterprise software integration phase, HCLSoftware will serve as an Anthropic Independent Software Vendor (ISV) partner, integrating Claude and Claude Code into some existing products, covering cybersecurity, automation, business process applications, and software development. The products involved include HCL BigFix and HCL AppScan, and there are plans to provide relevant model capabilities for the Actian AI analytics tool.

HCLTech also plans to integrate Claude and Claude Code into its agentic software engineering platform AI Force for IT technical support, software code remediation, and digital employee services. The related workflows will be configured with policy restrictions, exception handling mechanisms, and human oversight measures, among which high-impact operations will require human review.

The cooperation between the two parties targets enterprise customers in financial services, healthcare, telecommunications, manufacturing, and other sectors. HCLTech will be responsible for industry solution development and enterprise system integration, while Anthropic will provide the Claude models and related technical capabilities.
