NVIDIA Announces $2 Billion New Investment Plan in Europe, Involving 4 French Companies
en.Wedoany.com Reported - On October 13, Jensen Huang, CEO of U.S. chip company NVIDIA, stated at an event held in Paris, France, that the company plans to announce a new round of European artificial intelligence investments totaling approximately $2 billion within the coming week. Over the past year, NVIDIA has already invested approximately $8 billion in Europe. On the same day, the company announced investment arrangements for four French technology companies: Doctolib, Genesis AI, Pigment, and Entalpic, with investment directions covering healthcare AI, robotics, enterprise software, and materials research and development.

Doctolib primarily provides digital services for medical appointments and healthcare management. According to the cooperation arrangements announced by both parties, NVIDIA will acquire a minority stake in Doctolib and provide technical support for the development of its healthcare AI tools, including assisting with training AI models and developing intelligent assistants for patients. Doctolib management confirmed that this equity investment does not involve NVIDIA obtaining a seat on the company's board of directors.
Genesis AI's business focuses on general-purpose robotics and AI foundation model development, involving robot training, data collection, and simulation systems. The company has confirmed that NVIDIA has become its strategic investor. Pigment primarily develops enterprise business planning, forecasting, and scenario analysis software, while Entalpic uses generative artificial intelligence to conduct atomic-scale materials research, with application directions including chemical materials discovery.
Jensen Huang's European itinerary began with a visit to Paris, and he also plans to travel to London and Berlin to engage with local technology companies and industry partners. The equity investments in the four French companies announced this time and the subsequent European investment plans respectively involve already-announced corporate investments and investment projects to be announced in the coming week.
The cooperation content announced by Doctolib on October 13 also includes expanding its healthcare AI research and development team, improving medical consultation recording and administrative management tools, and developing clinical decision support systems. Its patient-facing AI assistant has already been used by approximately 400,000 French users, with plans to expand service coverage in 2027. The company explicitly stated that NVIDIA's equity stake does not carry governance rights or a board seat.
