The project involves an investment of approximately INR 1.5 billion and adds an annual production capacity of 450,000 automotive air conditioning systems, while also producing HVAC systems as well as hose and tube products. The commencement of production was confirmed by Subros in a stock exchange announcement filed on the same day.

The new plant was built on a greenfield basis, with the added capacity primarily dedicated to automotive air conditioning systems and related thermal management products. The plant's production scope includes HVAC assemblies, hoses, and tubes, with the hoses and tubes used for pipeline connections in vehicle air conditioning and thermal management systems.

Project funding was provided through a combination of Subros' internal accrued funds and debt financing. In an earlier project announcement dated November 7, 2024, the company had planned to phase in the relevant capacity by March 2026; the current commercial production commencement represents a delay compared with the timeline disclosed at that time.

In the production commencement announcement, Subros explicitly stated that the purpose of building the new plant is to meet customer demand and shorten the distance to customer production bases. The added capacity represents designed production capacity, and actual commercial production began on October 28.
