Bilfinger Secures £22 Million UK Factory Maintenance Contract Renewal

en.Wedoany.com Reported - On October 28, German industrial engineering services company Bilfinger confirmed that it has been awarded a two-year renewal contract worth £22 million (approximately €26 million) for factory maintenance at a facility in Scotland, UK, continuing to provide production equipment maintenance and shutdown turnaround services for a local life sciences company. The facility primarily produces vitamins and specialty additives, and the contract covers mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and production facility ancillary maintenance work.

The scope of services under this renewal includes mechanical equipment maintenance, electrical system maintenance, instrumentation servicing, scaffolding and access erection, equipment and pipe insulation, and facility painting. Bilfinger will continue to undertake routine plant maintenance and planned shutdown turnaround tasks, with approximately 120 employees on site each day engaged in equipment and production facility maintenance work.

Contract execution will employ Bilfinger Maintenance Solutions (BMS) and Bilfinger Turnaround Solutions (BTS) to organize maintenance planning, turnaround personnel deployment, and shutdown turnaround operations. The related services will be delivered by Bilfinger's on-site team.

On July 18, 2024, Bilfinger was awarded an integrated maintenance contract worth over €20 million with a three-year term and an extension option for this Scottish life sciences facility, executed by its UK Maintenance, Modification and Operations business unit. This renewal extends the maintenance service partnership between the two parties at this production site by two years.
