Wedoany.com Report-Aug. 20, Yondr Group, a global data center developer, has acquired a 163-acre site in Lancaster, Texas, to construct a new data center campus capable of supporting up to 550 megawatts of IT power. Announced recently, the project marks the company’s first U.S. initiative under its new CEO, Aaron Wangenheim, with construction set to begin in 2026.
The Lancaster campus is expected to create full-time jobs, generate tax revenue, and provide opportunities for local businesses during both construction and operational phases. The initiative aligns with Yondr Group’s commitment to delivering reliable, sustainable data center solutions, supported by investors DigitalBridge and La Caisse.
“The US is a key market for Yondr’s next phase of growth, and Dallas is one of the largest and fastest-growing data centre markets in the world,” said Aaron Wangenheim. “This investment in Dallas is just the beginning. The project strengthens Yondr Group’s North American portfolio, which includes two data centers in Northern Virginia and one in Toronto. The company is also exploring additional locations in major U.S. cities while continuing to expand in Europe, with existing facilities in London, Frankfurt, and Amsterdam.
