Wedoany.com Report-Sept. 30, On September 29, Chinese autonomous driving solutions provider Senior.Auto announced the completion of a B+ funding round worth several hundred million yuan. The financing was supported by a group of investors, including Zhengzhou High-Tech Industrial Investment Fund, Zhejiang Innovation Private Equity Fund Management, and Huarong. Proceeds will be directed toward research and development in driverless technologies and expanding practical applications across multiple industries.

Founded in April 2020, Senior.Auto has built its strategy around a self-developed “vehicle-road-cloud” integrated network architecture. The company emphasizes high levels of in-house development for core modules, such as intelligent driving, edge computing, and autonomous chassis systems. This approach reduces dependence on external suppliers and enhances system efficiency, upgradeability, and adaptability.

Senior.Auto’s solutions cover a wide range of industrial logistics scenarios, including ports, bulk cargo transport, metallurgy, industrial parks, trunk logistics, and commodity transport. The company is headquartered in Deqing, Zhejiang, with R&D centers in Beijing, Zhengzhou, and Shanghai, forming a complete service ecosystem across the value chain.

Since 2025, the company has strengthened both its technological and commercial presence. In Level 4 closed environments, Senior.Auto has expanded containerized and bulk cargo operations and built long-term partnerships with more than 20 major global ports. In open-road scenarios, it was among the first to carry out large-scale platooning for trunk logistics, deploying nearly 100 autonomous trucks in regions such as Baotou (Inner Mongolia), Tianjin Dongjiang, and the Yongjin Expressway. This makes Senior.Auto one of the earliest companies to scale autonomous truck operations on public roads.

The company has also achieved several industry firsts. These include the development of China’s first automated general cargo terminal, the first full-process intelligent retrofit of a traditional port, a mixed-traffic autonomous railway station pilot zone, and short-haul autonomous driving within steel plants. Its technologies are now applied by leading enterprises such as CNPC, Ningbo Port, Qingdao Port, Xiamen Port, and Sun Paper.

Currently serving more than 100 clients, Senior.Auto is the first in the industry to realize large-scale commercial validation in mixed-traffic autonomous scenarios with stable operations. The company has maintained strong business momentum, reporting annual growth of 30% to 40%.

With the completion of the B+ financing round, Senior.Auto is positioned to further consolidate its leadership in the autonomous driving sector by accelerating technology upgrades, expanding its application fields, and strengthening cooperation with industrial partners.
