Wedoany.com Report-Oct. 22, HIVE Digital Technologies Ltd. has signed a definitive agreement to develop an additional 100MW of data center capacity at its Yguazú site in Paraguay. The new facility will be powered entirely by hydroelectric energy from the Itaipú Dam.

The expansion, known as Phase 3, will raise HIVE’s total data center capacity in Paraguay to 400MW, making the Yguazú complex the largest hydro-powered data center operation in the country once complete. For 2026, HIVE targets exceeding 35 EH/s in Bitcoin capacity and achieving a fivefold increase in HPC and AI computing capacity.
