Wedoany.com Report-Oct. 27, D.TRADING has signed a virtual power purchase agreement (PPA) with German renewable energy developer ib vogt for 120 GWh of solar power from Poland. The deal covers output from ib vogt’s 40 MWp Ziębice solar farm in Silesian Voivodeship, which was fully commissioned in May 2024 and produces around 43 GWh of green electricity annually.
The agreement marks a significant step in D.TRADING’s renewable energy expansion across Central and Eastern Europe, reinforcing the company’s role in supporting regional decarbonisation efforts. The PPA will enable long-term offtake of clean energy while offering producers and consumers a stable and flexible supply solution.
Stanislav Dudka, head of D.TRADING’s EU power desk, said: “This agreement strengthens D.TRADING’s position in the Polish power market and supports our broader strategy to expand renewable energy offtake across the region. By combining long-term renewable sourcing with our trading expertise, we create flexible and sustainable solutions for both producers and consumers.”
D.TRADING, headquartered in Baar, Switzerland, serves as the pan-European trading arm of Ukraine’s DTEK Group. The company provides renewable energy offtake, market access, balancing, and hedging services, and is steadily expanding its footprint across Central, Eastern, and South-Eastern Europe.
The Ziębice solar farm, now fully operational, contributes to Poland’s growing renewable capacity and aligns with broader European objectives to increase clean energy penetration. By securing a long-term PPA, D.TRADING ensures predictable supply for its clients while promoting investment in renewable infrastructure.
This partnership exemplifies how cross-border collaboration in the energy sector can support both decarbonisation goals and market stability. D.TRADING’s continued expansion into Central and Eastern Europe demonstrates the company’s commitment to facilitating renewable energy growth in the region and providing reliable, sustainable solutions for energy consumers.
The PPA also strengthens market confidence in solar energy development and supports the operational sustainability of the Ziębice project, which has been generating renewable electricity since mid-2024. By combining trading expertise with direct renewable sourcing, D.TRADING reinforces its strategic position as a key facilitator of green energy flows across multiple European markets.
