Wedoany.com Report-Dec.25, HAVELSAN, a Türkiye-based provider and manufacturer of flight simulator solutions, has obtained EASA Level D certification for the Airbus A320 Full Flight Simulator (FFS) developed for Turkish Airlines' training infrastructure. The certification was announced in mid-December 2025.

The A320 FFS was delivered to enhance Turkish Airlines' pilot training capacity and operational capabilities. It simulates three different engine options, covering both CEO and NEO configurations for greater flexibility in training programs.

The simulator incorporates HAVELSAN's in-house developed STARVIEW Collimated Display System, which has received EASA Level D certification for the first time. This integration represents a key advancement in HAVELSAN's proprietary display technologies.

The device has been installed at Turkish Airlines' training center in Istanbul and is now supporting the airline's active pilot training operations. With this addition, Turkish Airlines operates a total of three HAVELSAN-manufactured A320 Full Flight Simulators.

In a related development, HAVELSAN has signed a new agreement with Boeing. This partnership enables the company to add the B737 MAX-8 Full Flight Simulator to its production line through direct procurement of a Boeing simulation data package.

Previously, HAVELSAN developed B737 MAX simulators using data provided by customers. The new arrangement allows HAVELSAN to independently manage the development process for future simulators intended for potential clients, ensuring a more streamlined workflow and stronger alignment with original equipment manufacturer standards.

This collaboration reflects HAVELSAN's ongoing commitment to expanding its capabilities in full flight simulator production and strengthening its position in the global aviation training market.

HAVELSAN has also entered into a comprehensive cooperation agreement with U.S.-based Advanced Rotorcraft Technology, Inc. (ART). The partnership focuses on advancing simulation and training solutions for rotary-wing aircraft.

The collaboration includes joint activities in developing simulators for both military and civil pilot training, integrating high-fidelity rotorcraft flight dynamics and engine models, and creating tailored simulation environments for various mission profiles.

By combining HAVELSAN's established simulator infrastructure and training technology expertise with ART's specialized knowledge in rotary-wing flight physics and engine modeling, the two companies aim to deliver advanced simulation platforms. These platforms support basic pilot training as well as complex military mission scenarios for helicopters and VTOL aircraft, enhancing operational readiness.

These recent developments highlight HAVELSAN's continued progress in providing high-fidelity, certified training solutions across fixed-wing and rotary-wing platforms. The initiatives support airlines, training organizations, and defense entities in meeting evolving requirements for pilot preparation and safety.
