Wedoany.com Report on Feb 10th, To ensure operational safety during the Spring Festival and the Spring Festival travel rush period, the Xinjiang Airport Group's Korla Licheng Airport recently organized a special inspection team to conduct fire safety checks in key areas within the airport. This initiative aims to prevent related risks and ensure the safety of passenger travel and airport operations.

The inspection focused on seven core areas: the terminal building, cargo area, aviation fuel storage area, cold storage, power distribution station, fire control room, staff living quarters, and construction zones. In crowded places like the terminal building, the inspection team checked the condition of evacuation routes, fire safety signs, and emergency facilities. They also randomly tested staff on their proficiency in using firefighting equipment and their knowledge of emergency response procedures. In high-risk areas, the team focused on verifying compliance regarding cargo stacking, storage of flammable materials, electrical wiring, and fire compartmentation measures. For critical facilities and living areas, special equipment operation checks were conducted, and hazards such as unauthorized electrical wiring were rectified. Regarding construction zones, the inspection team urged strict adherence to hot work permit procedures and on-site supervision requirements.
During the inspection, the team documented identified issues by creating lists and rectification records. They clarified responsibilities and deadlines, implemented a tracking system for issue resolution, and concurrently conducted safety awareness education. Korla Licheng Airport stated that the next steps involve improving the regular fire safety inspection mechanism, strengthening emergency duty arrangements, and enhancing publicity and drills to continuously maintain safety precautions.
