Wedoany.com Report-Dec.26, Türkiye's crude steel production in November 2025 increased by 10% compared to November 2024, reaching 3.31 million tons, according to data from the World Steel Association. This figure also represents a 3.2% rise from the previous month.
Within the monthly output, billet production grew by 9.4% to 2.09 million tons, while slab production rose by 11.1% to 1.22 million tons.
For the cumulative period from January to November 2025, crude steel production advanced by 2% year-on-year to 34.6 million tons. During this timeframe, billet production increased by 5%, whereas slab production decreased by 3%.
In terms of production methods over the 11-month period, electric arc furnaces accounted for 72.2% of total crude steel output, with integrated plants contributing the remaining 27.8%.
The November performance highlights a positive trend in Türkiye's steel sector amid varying global conditions. The World Steel Association reported that worldwide crude steel production for November 2025 declined by 4.6% to 140.1 million tons compared to the same month in 2024.
