Wedoany.com Report-Dec.26, BEUMER Group officially inaugurated a new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility at Reliance's Model Economic Township (MET City) in Jhajjar, Haryana. This marks a significant expansion for the family-owned company in India, with an investment of INR 2 billion.

The facility spans a land area of 42,508 square metres (over 10 acres), featuring a built-up manufacturing space of 22,285 square metres. Construction progressed rapidly, completing in approximately 15 months from the foundation stone laying in June 2024 to the start of operations in December 2025. MET City's advanced infrastructure supported this efficient timeline.

BEUMER Group is the first German company to establish operations in MET City, an integrated smart industrial development. The new plant integrates into the company's global manufacturing network, enabling more effective service to customers worldwide from an Indian base.

Rudolf Hausladen, CEO of BEUMER Group, said: "This expansion reflects BEUMER Group's strategic focus and commitment to long-term success in India. The new production site plays an important part in our global factory footprint, strengthening our position as a quality leader and partner of choice for our customers."

Hausladen further highlighted that the MET City investment represents a key milestone, allowing the company to serve customers with local expertise while maintaining high standards of quality and innovation.

This inauguration coincides with two decades of BEUMER India's growth since its establishment in 2003. Starting as a small office in Mumbai with two employees, it has expanded to over 400 full-time staff and an annual business volume of €150 million. The company has broadened its scope across all BEUMER Group segments, including acquisitions of ENEXCO Technologies India for cement solutions and FAM India for minerals and mining. Previous developments include a manufacturing unit in Naurangpur, Haryana, and a new head office in Gurugram in 2023.

The Jhajjar facility emphasizes sustainability, designed to meet top global standards and pursue Indian Green Building Certification (IGBC), comparable to the USGBC LEED standard. It incorporates features for reduced environmental impact, including 20–30% energy savings and 30–50% water savings compared to traditional industrial buildings, supported by renewable energy sources.

Production at the site covers equipment for airport baggage handling systems, logistics conveying and sorting solutions, cement packing and loading machinery, and components for minerals and mining machines. Local manufacturing shortens lead times for Indian customers and provides additional capacity for global projects.
