Wedoany.com Report-Dec.30, Firth Industries, a subsidiary of Fletcher Building, has announced that its newly constructed ready-mix concrete batching plant in the Penrose area of Auckland is now ready for operation. The plant has a designed capacity of 200 cubic meters per hour and primarily produces Firth EcoMix, an environmentally friendly low-carbon concrete.
The new plant features a dual drive-through production lane design, allowing two concrete mixer trucks to be loaded simultaneously, thereby enhancing transportation efficiency. In terms of facility configuration, the site is equipped with dedicated storage facilities for supplementary cementitious materials and recycled concrete aggregates, supporting the circular use of raw materials. A 100% wastewater recycling system purifies production wastewater through multi-stage sedimentation and filtration technology before reintroducing it into the production process, reducing water consumption.
