Nigerian Construction Company Accelerates Warri/Effurun Road Project

Wedoany.com Report-Dec.30, Julius Berger Nigeria Plc, a construction and engineering company, recently announced that the Warri/Effurun Road and Interchange Project under its responsibility is progressing smoothly. All parties involved are optimistic about its successful completion by the set deadline in March 2026.

Fred Edafiogho, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Works, detailed the project scope, which includes road expansion, improvement works, and the construction of three interchanges. The construction of flyovers at the DSC/NPA Expressway section, the PTI Junction, and the DSC Roundabout are among the top priorities of the road project. Additionally, the project encompasses the construction of two pedestrian bridges to further enhance pedestrian safety. As of November 2024, project team reports indicate that the DSC Interchange is over 95.95% complete, the PTI Interchange is 90.22% complete, the Effurun Road expansion is 53.58% complete, and the Enerhen Interchange is over 89.26% complete, with all sections of the road project advancing steadily.

The PTI Flyover road project is also progressing rapidly, with piling, pipe jacking, and protection works completed. Works on the stormwater drainage system, earthworks for road expansion, and sidewalk construction are also proceeding in an orderly manner. The design and construction of the Enerhen Flyover are nearly 90% complete, with tasks like beam launching and deck pouring successfully finished.
