On January 15, 2026, Air Astana's Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders was successfully held, during which the shareholders passed an important resolution. Air Astana will purchase five Boeing 787-9 aircraft. This is a "firm order," with the delivery of these five aircraft scheduled between 2032 and 2035.

In addition to the firm order, Air Astana has also secured five confirmed purchase options, along with another five confirmed rights to purchase Boeing 787-9 aircraft. This means that in the future, Air Astana can flexibly decide whether to further expand its fleet by adding the advanced Boeing 787-9 model based on its business development needs and market changes.

To ensure the smooth implementation of this resolution, the shareholders have also authorized the company's Chief Executive Officer to take all necessary measures to play a key role in subsequent communication and negotiations with Boeing, contract signing, delivery arrangements, and other related processes, thereby facilitating the orderly progression of the entire transaction.
