Application Scope

Purpose: Used for continuous monitoring of nitrous oxide in ambient air quality, and can also be used for nitrous oxide gas measurement and trace analysis.

Applicable occasions: Mainly applied in low-concentration flue gas emission prevention, waste incineration, power plants, steel mills, and other occasions for ambient air monitoring.

Instrument Principle

The instrument adopts gas correlation infrared absorption method. The basic working principle is that N₂O has absorption characteristics for infrared radiation at a specific wavelength, and the absorption strength is related to the N₂O concentration. Detection method: Infrared light from the infrared light source sequentially passes through the N₂O and N₂ filters in the rotating wheel, then enters the optical cell through a narrow-band interference filter. When passing through the N₂O filter, infrared light is absorbed and cannot absorb N₂O in the sample gas in the optical cell, forming reference light intensity. When passing through the N₂ filter, infrared light is not absorbed and illuminates the sample gas in the optical cell. N₂O in the sample gas absorbs infrared radiation, forming measurement light that passes through the optical cell and reaches the infrared detector. Through the light intensity ratio of the two, the concentration of N₂O in the sample gas is calculated using the Lambert-Beer law.
