Instrument Introduction

The TH-2025 black carbon aerosol analyzer adopts the optical attenuation method principle, utilizing the strong light absorption characteristics of black carbon aerosols from visible to infrared wavelength bands. It integrates modern sensing and processing technologies including optics, mechanics, electronics, and photochemistry for monitoring black carbon aerosols at regional atmospheric background stations. It not only provides basic data on black carbon aerosol concentrations in background areas but also uses black carbon aerosols as tracer substances to monitor the degree of influence from local polluted air masses at observation points at any time. It has quite wide applications in fields such as atmospheric photochemistry, radiation research, and real-time monitoring in public places.

 

Application Scope

This product is used for: analysis of aerosol optical absorption characteristics; monitoring and source analysis of black carbon in atmospheric aerosols; monitoring of combustion emissions containing carbon substances; analysis of UV-absorbing organic compounds; etc.

The application scope of this product includes: various universities, research institutions, environmental monitoring stations, and fields such as public health and infectious disease research, radiation research, etc.

 

Instrument Principle

Using the sampling system, aerosol particles of the required particle size are enriched on the sampling filter. A light source of a specific wavelength passes through the sampling filter, causing light intensity attenuation. By measuring the amount of light intensity attenuation and the volume of sampled gas, the concentration of black carbon substances in the aerosol is calculated, in units of ng/m³.

•   Utilizes optics, electronics, mechanics, and modern sensor technologies, with high-speed RAM chips for fast signal detection, control, and data processing to achieve continuous automatic online monitoring of black carbon.

•   The analyzer adopts advanced digital filtering algorithm to optimally optimize response time and signal-to-noise ratio based on the minimum mean square estimation error criterion, thereby improving the system's signal-to-noise ratio.

 

Remote Monitoring

The system adopts modern communication technology. RS-232, RS-485 interfaces, and network ports realize data transmission between the instrument and the sub-station host computer as well as automatic monitoring of the instrument by the host computer. Remote data transmission between sub-stations and the central station is realized through software, forming a huge environmental monitoring information network that fully reflects the superiority of modern digital information technology, greatly reducing manpower and material investment, and providing rapid and reliable data guarantee for environmental monitoring departments to analyze and monitor pollution.
