An adjustable steel prop (commonly known as a steel prop, independent support, or steel column) is a single vertical support member with flexible extension and high load-bearing capacity. As a highly cost-effective support tool in formwork engineering, it can be fine-tuned and locked according to the actual on-site height, and is widely used in cast-in-place slab support, beam bottom support, shear wall formwork bracing, and reinforcement of old building renovations.
Product Structure Composition
Outer Tube and Inner Tube: Telescopic sleeve structure (the outer tube is equipped with coarse adjustment positioning holes, and the inner tube enables height adjustment).
Adjusting Nut and Threaded Sleeve: Achieves millimeter-level fine height adjustment through a high-strength precision-cast nut rotating along the sleeve thread.
Pin (G-pin/Locking Pin): Inserted into the pre-drilled holes of the inner tube and the top slot of the outer tube to carry the main vertical load.
Top Plate and Base Plate: Flat plate, square plate, or U-head jack/fork head, ensuring uniform load contact with the formwork or the ground.

Common Specifications and Types
Light Duty Steel Prop: Inner tube outer diameter approx. Ф40/48mm, suitable for slab support in ordinary residential buildings and light-duty formwork projects.
Heavy Duty Steel Prop: Inner tube outer diameter approx. Ф60/76mm, with thicker walls and a load capacity of 30kN–50kN or more, suitable for high-load, high-rise, and industrial construction projects.
Push-Pull Prop: Equipped with double-ended adjustable hinged base plates, specifically used for verticality correction and diagonal overturning bracing of wall and column formwork as well as precast components (PC elements).
