Aluminum Alloy Cable · Product Introduction
Aluminum alloy cable is a new type of power cable using AA8000 series aluminum alloy (such as AA8030, AA8076) as the conductor, manufactured through special compact stranding and annealing processes. It typically uses cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) as insulation and polyvinyl chloride (PVC) or polyolefin as the sheath. It is not a "pure aluminum cable," but rather aluminum alloyed with copper, iron, magnesium, rare earth elements, etc. While retaining the advantages of aluminum being "lightweight and inexpensive," it significantly improves the critical shortcomings of pure aluminum—poor creep resistance, loose connections, and susceptibility to fracture—making it the leading "aluminum-for-copper substitution" product in low-voltage power distribution.
