I. Basic Definition and Model Designation
YJY22‑8.7/15kV: Copper-core XLPE-insulated polyethylene-sheathed double steel tape armored medium-voltage power cable
1. YJ: Cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) insulation
2. Y: Polyethylene outer sheath (hydrolysis-resistant, corrosion-resistant, distinguished from PVC polyvinyl chloride sheath)
3. 22: Double steel tape armor + polyethylene outer sheath, providing compression resistance and mechanical damage protection
4. 8.7/15kV: Rated phase voltage 8.7kV, rated line voltage 15kV
II. Core Technical Parameters and Operating Characteristics
1. Rated voltage: 8.7/15kV
2. Long-term permissible conductor operating temperature: 90℃
3. Maximum conductor temperature under short circuit (5s): 250℃
4. Installation environment: Suitable for direct burial underground, capable of withstanding certain mechanical pressure but not large tensile forces; can be
5. installed on cable trays and in cable trenches
6. Minimum bending radius during installation: ≥15 times the cable outer diameter
7. Sheath advantages: PE polyethylene sheath, resistant to acids and alkalis, moisture-resistant, halogen-free, superior aging resistance compared to PVC sheath
8. Applicable standard: GB/T 12706‑2020
III. Main Application Scenarios
1. Urban distribution networks, 10kV power supply lines in industrial parks, direct burial installation
2. Underground cable trenches, tunnels, cable trays, and scenarios with highly corrosive soil (PE sheath provides corrosion resistance)
3. Working conditions requiring resistance to external crushing and stone compression damage, but without large tensile forces
Not suitable for underwater or vertical shaft installations with large drops (for tensile force scenarios, select 32 steel wire armored cable)
