Wedoany.com Report on Mar 4th, According to reports, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un inspected the Sangwon Cement Complex in North Hwanghae Province on March 1, urging a "full-fledged struggle" to increase cement production. This inspection was conducted following the conclusion of the 9th National Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) and marks Kim Jong Un's first visit to an industrial site after the party congress.

During the inspection, Kim Jong Un stated: "Since then, the complex has surpassed its peak levels annually, helping us progress step by step, boosting confidence, and opening up possibilities for the successful implementation of major projects. Let us once again wage a full-fledged struggle and advance courageously for the benefit of the great country." According to the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), while learning about cement production in the central control room, Kim Jong Un highly praised the complex's achievements in cement production each month since the beginning of the new five-year plan's first year.

The Sangwon Cement Complex has an annual cement production capacity of 2 million tons and has played a crucial role in North Korea's major construction projects in recent years, including the housing project to build 50,000 apartments in Pyongyang. This inspection comes after the 9th WPK Congress proposed launching more construction projects nationwide. Analysts believe Kim Jong Un's choice to first visit a cement factory aims to ensure a stable supply of this key construction material and motivate workers to engage in the new struggle to implement the party congress's resolutions.

In his speech, Kim Jong Un highly praised the contributions of the Sangwon working class, stating that the complex, with its tangible cement production achievements, has supported the party's plans and intentions, ushering in a golden age since its operation began. Accompanying him on the inspection were individuals including Kim Yo Jong, who was appointed Director of the General Affairs Department of the WPK Central Committee during the 9th Congress, as well as Kim Jae Ryong and Ri Hui Yong, who were promoted to members of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau.
