Wedoany.com Report, On March 10, 2026, KPI Green Energy informed BSE Limited and the National Stock Exchange of India that its solar project in Gujarat has successfully commissioned an additional 24.2 MW AC capacity. This progress is part of the company's 250 MW AC grid-connected solar project, marking a new milestone in renewable energy operations.
The solar project was awarded by Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited through a bidding process and is being developed in phases. With the commissioning of the additional 24.2 MW AC capacity, the total commissioned capacity of the project has reached 48.4 MW AC, doubling the operational scale compared to the earlier stage. The phased commissioning approach allows the project to start feeding power to the grid progressively during construction, contributing to the power supply ahead of schedule.
KPI Green Energy, active in the renewable energy sector since 1994, continues to expand its portfolio of utility-scale solar projects. The company expects the entire 250 MW AC solar installation to be completed by October 2026, with current progress indicating the project is on track. The official communication was signed by Whole-time Director Mohmed Sohil Yusuf Dabhoya, reflecting the company's capability in efficiently executing large-scale solar projects.
Developed under the Independent Power Producer mode, the project will provide clean electricity once fully operational. As India increases its renewable energy capacity, such projects support the country's transition to sustainable power generation and hold significant importance for green energy development.
