This valve is a critical piece of equipment for the safe operation of the nuclear power plant, responsible for core functions such as residual heat removal, overpressure protection, and system isolation. Its successful delivery marks a significant technological breakthrough for China in the field of high-end core nuclear power equipment, breaking the long-term foreign monopoly.

The equipment was jointly developed by China Nuclear Power Engineering Co., Ltd. and Dalian Dagao Valve Co., Ltd. It features an integrated design, and its innovative drive structure can meet the requirements for large-flow rapid discharge under accident conditions. Verified through dynamic simulation and full-flow testing, the product has a design lifespan of 60 years, with performance reaching internationally advanced levels. Some key indicators are superior to similar foreign products, and it has already obtained multiple national patents.

According to the plan, each "Hualong One" unit requires three such valves. The first product shipped this time will be applied to CGN's Guangdong Lufeng Nuclear Power Plant Unit 5, with subsequent batches to be supplied to other units of the same type. This breakthrough not only effectively reduces the construction costs and supply chain risks for China's nuclear power projects but also provides strong support for the overseas market expansion of "Hualong One" technology and equipment.
