Royal Brunei Airlines has adjusted its flight schedule for the Brunei to London Heathrow route. Flights that previously had a stopover in Dubai have been changed to a direct flight model, and this adjustment will remain in effect until April 30.

Royal Brunei Airlines announced on March 6th that from March 10th, the Dubai stopover would be cancelled. The flights operate three times a week, departing from Brunei on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday evenings, and arriving at London Heathrow Airport the following morning. The airline stated: "This adjustment enables Royal Brunei Airlines to maintain connectivity for passengers between Brunei Darussalam and the United Kingdom while continuing to prioritize the safety of passengers and crew."

The Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner operating this route is Royal Brunei Airlines' only wide-body aircraft type, with an average fleet age of 11.4 years. The aircraft features a two-class cabin layout with a total of 254 seats, including 18 in Business Class and 236 in Economy Class. The direct flight segment from Brunei to London can be up to 16 hours and 45 minutes, making it the second-longest non-stop flight at Heathrow Airport.

According to aviation data, Royal Brunei Airlines' direct flight ranks highly among ultra-long-haul routes, second only to Qantas' Perth to London route which takes 17 hours and 30 minutes. Other long-haul routes include British Airways' flight to Santiago, Chile at 15 hours and 35 minutes, and flights from several Asian cities to Heathrow.
