en.Wedoany.com Report on Mar 23rd, The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) approved an annual urban development budget of Rs 118.09 billion for the 2026-27 fiscal year for various development works in Yamuna City during its 89th board meeting. This urban development budget was reviewed and approved under the chairmanship of Alok Kumar, Chairman of the Authority and Additional Chief Secretary of the Uttar Pradesh government. Of this, Rs 80 billion (approximately 68% of the total budget) will be allocated for land acquisition, primarily to support development around the Noida International Airport.

The allocation for land acquisition within this urban development budget reflects rising investor demand for projects around the airport, covering areas such as data centers, educational hubs, large townships, manufacturing, and electronics manufacturing. The urban development budget also includes Rs 70.5 billion for loan repayment, Rs 20.11 billion for development and construction works, Rs 5.02 billion for airport construction, and Rs 3 billion for multimodal connectivity projects. YEIDA Additional CEO Shailendra Bhatia stated that the multimodal connectivity plan includes high-speed metro links and direct rail routes, aiming to establish the area as an investment destination.

The formulation of this urban development budget follows the recent signing of three Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with the Universal Success Group, totaling Rs 66.5 billion. These include developing an international theme township worth Rs 35 billion near the Noida International Airport and constructing a 40 MW hyper-scale data center park in the Noida region. The board also approved the formation of committees to determine rates for transport cities and multi-purpose plots, and the establishment of a transport park-cum-training center for driving license issuance.
