en.Wedoany.com Reported - Dell has launched its next-generation all-flash storage platform, PowerStore Elite, which delivers up to three times the performance or throughput compared to its predecessors, the PowerStore 1200T and 9200T, depending on the workload.

The core devices include three new models: PowerStore 1500, 5500, and 9500, equipped with Intel Xeon Scalable processors, DDR5-RAM memory, PCIe Gen5, and 200 Gb/s RDMA node interconnects. Each system can accommodate up to 40 drives, with a maximum effective capacity of 5.8 PB in a 3U chassis.
In terms of network configuration, each system can be equipped with up to 40 network ports, supporting 64 Gb/s Fibre Channel connectivity (upgradable to 128 Gb/s) as well as 200 and 400 Gigabit Ethernet. Through data path optimization and hardware-accelerated compression, the data reduction guarantee has been improved from 5:1 to 6:1, helping to lower effective storage costs. In this new platform, Dell adopts QLC flash (quad-level cell) to achieve higher capacity and lower cost. Traditionally, QLC flash has shortcomings in write performance and endurance, and Dell aims to address these through software optimization and machine learning-based data path control. This is also one of the main reasons Dell can deliver higher capacity per unit height. Improved deduplication and compression technologies can more efficiently identify duplicate content in unstructured data, while hardware accelerators prevent performance loss during compression.
Enhanced AI integration reduces manual workload by up to 95%, with AI continuously balancing workloads, optimizing performance, and improving efficiency. Features such as Predictive Insights and automation help reduce the burden on administrators in reporting, performance analysis, and capacity planning. Additionally, the newly launched Dell Cyber Detect is an AI-powered ransomware detection tool that can more quickly identify the last known clean copy of data, thereby accelerating data recovery.
