First Look at Tesla’s First ‘Public’ Electric Semi Truck Charging Station

Wedoany.com Report-Feb 19, Tesla is planning to build its first full-scale public electric semi truck charging station, known as a Megacharger. The station will have 12 stalls capable of accommodating semi trucks and their trailers, and will be located near Carson in the greater Los Angeles area. The station will also include a 1,600 sqft. amenity building with a lounge, vending machines, restrooms, and parking for staff. Tesla expects to start volume production of the Tesla Semi late this year, and the Megacharger is expected to be capable of charging at over 1 MW, allowing a Tesla Semi to recover 70% of its 500-mile range in 30 minutes of charging.
