en.Wedoany.com Reported - Great Wall Motors launched the Haval H6 2027 model series this Tuesday (9th), offering a flex-fuel powertrain for the first time in this mid-size SUV. The model becomes the first domestically produced plug-in hybrid vehicle, with the manufacturer stating that cumulative test mileage for the project exceeds 400,000 kilometers.

Haval H6 gains flex-fuel powertrain to boost higher sales

Since last year, the Haval H6 has been produced in Iracemápolis, São Paulo state. Multiple adjustments were made to the vehicle to accommodate the flex-fuel system. The 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine is equipped with new low-pressure and high-pressure fuel pumps compatible with hydrous ethanol, a dedicated injector nozzle geometry designed for this fuel, and spark plugs. Valves, gaskets, seals, and other components in contact with the fuel have also been adapted. Great Wall has also integrated an ethanol sensor into the electronic management system for the H6.

Four configurations are available: HEV One starting at R$199,900, HEV2 at R$225,000, PHEV19 at R$250,000, PHEV35 at R$290,000, and the flagship GT at R$326,000. The GT is the only model that did not see a R$1,000 price increase.

From January to May 2026, Great Wall sold 16,200 Haval H6 units. The model ranks 12th in mid-size SUV registrations in the domestic market, surpassing its direct competitor, the Toyota Corolla Cross, which delivered 15,500 units to end customers. In the same period last year, the model had 10,200 registrations, ranking 14th. Against a 32% growth in the segment over the same period, H6 sales surged by approximately 60%.
