en.Wedoany.com Reported - The U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) has awarded Oracle a $395.8 million federal HRIT modernization core Human Capital Management (HCM) contract, aimed at delivering the first government-wide human resources platform for the federal government.

Powered by Oracle Fusion Cloud Human Capital Management (HCM), the new platform will replace over 100 standalone systems and serve as the sole government-wide workforce management system of record under OPM's Federal HR 2.0 initiative. Many federal agencies' HR systems are non-interoperable, which can lead to redundant work and data inconsistencies, resulting in higher costs and delays in hiring and retirement processes. By consolidating systems onto a single cloud platform, OPM expects to reduce costs for taxpayers by over 90%, while improving efficiency, security, and service delivery for agencies and employees.

Scott Kupor, Director of the U.S. Office of Personnel Management, stated that after a rigorous competitive evaluation process, including extensive testing and input from various government agencies, Oracle Cloud HCM was selected to help consolidate dozens of disparate systems into a modern, secure platform. This marks a significant step toward improving interoperability, enhancing workforce data capabilities, and delivering a more effective and accountable HR experience across the federal government.

As the foundation of Federal HR 2.0, Oracle Cloud HCM will provide an AI-driven, secure, FedRAMP-authorized HR platform for approximately 2 million U.S. executive branch civilian employees. The solution centralizes HR operations on a single platform to improve the employee experience and effectively manage the federal workforce as a unified enterprise. Features include position management, personnel action and record processing, workforce analytics, and employee and administrator self-service, integrated with payroll, retirement, and benefits systems.

Kim Lynch, Executive Vice President of Oracle Government, Defense, and Intelligence, stated that Oracle is honored to partner with OPM to build a secure and trusted foundation for unifying federal HR operations.
