en.Wedoany.com Reported - French music platform Deezer announced on Thursday (11th) the launch of a free online tool that can detect AI-generated tracks in playlists, available to users of all major streaming platforms.

This detection technology has been licensed by Deezer to the entire music industry, following an agreement reached in January with French copyright organization Sacem (Société des Auteurs, Compositeurs et Editeurs de Musique). Users can utilize this free tool to check whether playlists from approximately 20 commonly used streaming platforms contain AI-generated music. According to Deezer's data, 43% of playlists from users migrating from other platforms to Deezer already include AI-generated tracks. On its own platform, Deezer tags AI music and automatically removes it from algorithmic recommendations and editorial playlists to prevent dilution of copyright funds. Citing a 2024 study by Cisac (International Confederation of Societies of Authors and Composers), the company noted that by 2028, 25% of artists' income (equivalent to €4 billion annually, approximately $4.6 billion) could be eroded by AI-generated music. Deezer currently receives nearly 75,000 AI-generated tracks daily, accounting for over 44% of its new music content, compared to just 60,000 tracks at the beginning of 2025. A survey conducted by Deezer in collaboration with research firm Ipsos revealed that 80% of respondents want streaming platforms to clearly label AI-generated music.
