en.Wedoany.com Reported - A new optimization service partner has been selected for the battery energy storage system project in Trzebinia, southern Poland. Project developer DRI has chosen Entrix to service the 133 MW facility, which is one of the first large-scale battery assets in Poland to secure a capacity market contract, with a 17-year term starting in 2027.
With a total capacity of 133 MW, this project marks DRI's first battery storage asset in Poland. Under the contract, the project must be fully operational by 2027. Entrix will provide AI-based full-stack optimization and trading services to support its multi-market competition in the Polish energy market. Entrix was selected following a competitive tender that included backtesting, real-time testing, and resilience and cybersecurity reviews. The two companies will also collaborate on technical preparations for ancillary service certification and market access.
Murat Cinar, CEO of DRI, stated that Entrix demonstrated strong multi-market optimization capabilities as well as the reliability and end-to-end support the company expects. Aleksandra Radwanska, Country Head of Entrix Poland, noted that the solution ensures the Trzebinia project can maximize revenue across all markets. Entrix currently manages 1.5 GW of battery storage assets in Poland, and approximately 2.5 GW of new capacity secured contracts in the recent capacity market auction.
The Trzebinia project recently secured approximately PLN 470 million in financing from Erste Bank Polska, PKO Bank Polski, and UniCredit, with guarantees provided by KUKE.
