India's AMPIN Energy Secures $195 Million Financing for 100 MW Solar-Wind-Storage Project
en.Wedoany.com Reported - AMPIN Energy Transition has achieved financial close on $195 million in long-term project financing for a hybrid renewable energy project in Andhra Pradesh, India, supported by a 100 MW power purchase agreement (PPA). The project integrates solar, wind, and battery energy storage components, delivering dispatchable renewable power during peak demand periods.

AMPIN stated that as grid dynamics continue to evolve and demand patterns become increasingly time-sensitive, storage-backed hybrid renewable energy solutions are playing a critical role in addressing intermittency, enhancing grid reliability, and achieving long-term energy security. The transaction aligns with the Green Loan Principles and has been structured in accordance with the Equator Principles, reflecting the growing maturity of sustainable infrastructure financing and reinforcing the company's commitment to responsible capital allocation and environmental, social, and governance standards.
The financing was arranged with Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC) and Rabobank serving as mandated lead arrangers, green loan coordinators, and co-structuring banks, with support from HSF Kramer, JSA Advocates, Aurora Energy Research, and Tractebel, ensuring compliance with internationally recognized sustainable finance frameworks.
